  1. Make a complaint. I went when Alex was three and we could not believe how the french pushed hin round and shouted at him. Disney sent us a massive box of toys and an apology and a free return we went back in the most expensive hotel when he was five and had a better time. However I would not go there again, we have been to florida six times since then and the americans are great its all about you having a good time. They were sweet to Alex everytime even though he does not look disabled they took my word for it that he could not cope with things and helped us loads.
  2. Thank you all so much. After 12 .5 years of saying that my son is not slow or stupid or lazy or rude or all the other things teachers have labelled him over the years it is a bit of a relief that someone took me seriously. I am grateful because he is 15 in july and although he is doing well with his computer course and maths course he is very bad at english. I was getting worried because he is ok with these tutors now they know how to teach him and how he will sound when talking to them but i was concerned about him looking for a job when he was 16 after all I cannot go to an interview and explain the way he is. I have lived with this problem for nearly twenty years my husband was told years before I met him that he exhibted traits which could be Asperger syndrome but as he was an adult nothing was done as he was coping with life. He only told me that this week ! He is very clever but rude and quite detached which makes it hard sometimes but i thought when i met him it was because he had been abused and i could help him. Well I have but he is still odd and now it appears both my sons have the same or similar problems. I am not feeling quite so bad now if they are diagnosed officially at least I can tell people why they behave this way. Thank you all for your replies x
  3. Thank you still a bit shell shocked at the mo. Will look at those sites.
  4. After 10 years of telling people there is something wrong with my eldest son I saw a GP friday who had worked with autistic people for three years. She was seeing my youngest son as the school had referred him to an inclusion officer and a speech and language therapist three days after he started pre shool. I was upset as he is not as bad as my 14 yr old and nobody took him seriously in the end I have home educated him for nearly 4 years. So I made an appointment to see her re my youngest son I started crying because i have been so exhausted over the years trying to cope and she called my eldest son in and chatted to him. She said I was not going mad that they have a problem and has referred them both to a specialist saying she thinks they and my HUSBAND has this disorder! I new my husband was odd and did not realise it could be the same thing. I know nothing about this disorder does anyone else? Sorry to ramble on thanks for reading.
