  1. Hi Hev >:D<<'>

Haven't been here for a long time, it took a while to catch up with what you've going through with S.

I know Residential isn't for every child but for some of us it works with meds or without. Do you remember the problems that i used to have with R. :tearful: He's 6ft 2in now and at residential college, still takes a small dose of meds and doing really well. he still wobbles every now and then, but for us it was the right choice.

Hope it all works out for you

  2. Hi Hev

If you could see R now after going to a residential school and having a 24 structure, it was the best descison i made. He had alot of problems as you know from my postings at that time.

I really think it will help both you and Steve. >:D<<'>

    Good luck!

    Hi Hev,

Sorry to hear you are having a rough time. Do you remember when my son went into residential school?

I was having a really rough time too, not much different to what you're going through now. And now he is so

different, he is at college and doing really well.

    B.x

  4. Hi Hev

    Just pm'd you.

Just got a referral from Camhs to see Prof Patrick Bolton PDD specialist, didn't take long really, only 6 'Bl***y years', but hey, whats that in the life of someone with AS eh!

    Given you all the details.

    Good luck!

  5. Hi All

My son has been seeing a psychiatrist privately because we couldn't get any help from our local Camhs Team. He prescribed Risperdal for aggression which has really helped out alot.

We had to go back to Camhs before Xmas as R was suffering from depression ... no help as usual.. they want to see him once a week for anger management, nothing for his depression and stop the Risperdal. He goes to school in Somerset and is home every 3rd weekend. i cannot afford to transport him home every week, he would miss too much schooling and he is doing GCSE's. Plus i don't agree to stopping medication nor do the school because its been so beneficial.

The private psychiatrist won't see R anymore because of the Camhs involvement.

Any idea's on where i can go next?

  6. The school actually rang me back at 4.30pm, after i had called 3 times. Just said that there had been a break down in communication from the staff, and they would send out a form to make a 'formal complaint' if i wanted to. No 'Sorry' for the upset they have caused us. :(
