I am so glad I found this forum. So many things that I experienced with my now 13yr old a/s daughter are here. I thought that much of what we consider 'daily life' was unique to us as a family. Our daughter also sleep walks & talks. It used to be a common thing for me to wake in the middle of the night only to find her just staring at me at the side of my bed ! She also started around 2yrs. Our house was like a fortress at night, as on many occasion I would find her 'missing'. Only this morning I got up to find the back door wide open. She also holds long jibberish conversations with items of furniture. Given that food is her major obsession, I found that putting a sandwich & a drink in her room when I went to bed, encouraged her not to leave her room so often.
