Hi all
I was talking with hubby last night,
and we got to the topic of the christmas tree...
The subject got onto xmas morning,
I was wondering
Does anyone else's children or adults,
NOT get excited about the actual day?
DS does look forward to the day, he will have his calendar as normal and
sometimes forget to open the odd day, which pleases him to have 2 sometimes.
But the main thing is xmas morning........
He has never woke before me.
Ever year I wake at 7........ super excited and full of beans,
(for those who know me, I LOVE to lay in)
DS is sound asleep, so at 8 I go into him and shake him awake.
Once awake, he does slowly go downstairs, and then the excitement kicks in
when he sees xmas presents under the tree!
I just wanna know if this is common?
Or do I have a super mellow child.......... god knows I have
tried to excite him
****apologises to BD for posting before the 1st........... but i am sooooooo excited already :bounce: ****

I know what you mean, my DS was involved in racism towards one of his few friends in primary school,
the teachers said to him that the police could be involved and he was really scared.
He didn't know what it meant, he heard someone else say the word, and copied.
But DS with the bigger gob was the only one heard.
This was before his dx, and I was called everyday over something.......
its difficult to explain this to a child, let alone someone with AS,
teachers need to be more aware of how to deal with this.

I was meant to add this yesterday.......
DS had a ruck with his girly friend in school yesterday,
and when he came to the car the teacher was with him,
and asked DH to find out what happened, as DS wasn't able to tell her.
So when me and DS went into our daily lay on the bed and talk moment,
he started to tell me........
he spoke one worded with a pause between EVERY word?
I asked him why he was talking like a robot, and asked him to speak normally,
on which he said he couldn't, and it was easier to speak as he was,
(the explaination of why he was robotic was as he usually talks)
Has anyone else had experience of this?
I have emailed the school to let them know what occurred (as they asked me too),
but put on the bottom about this NEW speech thang!
I am not really worried, but just puzzled.
DS seems to be going backwards since joining senior school,
with his rocking, ticks, etc......... me just confused!
TO ADD...... I did tell him I was going to remove his batteries......... to which he grinned
