KarenT Report post Posted October 16, 2006 I was recommended this book at a course on AS last week. I already have the Asperger dictionary of every day expressions but this one is great for younger children, or those who need more visual explanations. We've been reading a couple a night and J's loving it. He likes the idea of being 'the apple of my eye'! What Did You Say? What Did You Mean? by Jude Welton and Jane Telford JK publishing. http://www.amazon.co.uk/What-Did-Say-Mean-...TF8&s=books Karen x

Kathryn Report post Posted October 16, 2006 Wow, this looks like a brilliant book! I used the "search inside" facility to look at some of the pages. I think it will be just perfect for my students of English as a foreign language who also strugge with metaphor. It's very clear, there's not too much explanatory text and the illustrations make it particularly appealing. Oh, perhaps my daughter will like it too Thanks Karen T - I'm off to order it right away!
