JenRose Report post Posted April 24, 2007 hi, just preparing my case statement for tribunal, still waiting for ipsea support worker to get in touch. i have to show that a mainstream school cannot cope with m and that the only school that can is a specialist/independent as there are no provisions in our area for HFA/AS. i have lots of evidence to back me up such as him being aggresive,needing assistance with the toilet,needing a strict routine,he makes noises when he works so i could show that would have an impact on the rest of the class, and he has been out of school for 18 months. but the LEA,s main argument is going to be that they will provide a 1-2-1 to help him and as this hasnt been tried before that we are not cooperating, whereas our argument is that he,s been out for so long that it can only take professionaly trained people in ASD to get him in school. hope ive worded it correctly!!!!!
