Kazzen161 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Like buses - for ages you have nothing, then suddenly three come along at once! For those in Hampshire, there is now an East Hants NAS Branch (based in Bordon), a Hart and Rushmoor NAS Branch (based in Fleet) and hopefully soon a NAS Branch based in Basingstoke. If you are a member of the NAS, you can help your local Branch by nominating them to receive part of your annual subscription. The launch of the East Hants Branch was last night, and was well attended by parents and professionals. Let us hope that these three branches can join together to exert pressure on HCC to improve services for children and adults with an asd. If anyone wants contact details for any of the branches, PM me. Karen
smiley Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Isn't it great Kaz So much effort has gone into starting these groups - and the need for them is huge, so i've no doubt they will flourish.

Kazzen161 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Thanks for the web-site link - it looks good. I might go to the evening in the pub in July - sounds good. We are trying to re-invigorate our support group - starting with a meeting in a pub!
NikkiSmith Report post Posted May 21, 2007 Thanks for putting the website address up Smiley - I am still working on it in my spare time, so if anyone has any info that I've missed off please yell in my direction! I only have littlies, so looking at stuff for over 6's is new to me! I look forward to getting involved with the other new branches too - it's about time there was more support in Hampshire! Nikki.
