David Matthew Baker Report post Posted July 15, 2007 I hope you all have a good day. Can't make this meet I'm afraid as it will be my second day in Kenya. It will be nice to see the teachers I worked with again. I'll look forward to hearing how it went and whether you recommend it though. Used to like Lego but never been to Legoland. Stella63 Report post Posted July 15, 2007 Hi Just left a note on the other thread - just up the road for me and OJ adores it there. Would be great for him to meet other kids with similar problems, especially tourettes. Keep us posted! stella

MichelleW Report post Posted July 15, 2007 (edited) Oh - I am so tempted to take another day off work! I would love to meet up with you all again! I would have to drive though! Probably much quicker that train (the way I drive!!) I've already booked off 2 and a half weeks from the 23rd July -If I haven't any important meetings and my boss don't mind then I'll probably come. I can always go into work on one of the days I was planning to have off! What time will you be meeting? Just added instead of starting a new message! : It seems quite expensive - I did have a voucher but can't remember where I put it!!! Flora Report post Posted July 15, 2007 I said I would come to the next southern meet, but was just at lego land a few weeks ago and not quite recovered yet If you decide on anywhere more peaceful then I'll make an effort to be there! Flozza
MichelleW Report post Posted July 22, 2007 I can't make legoland either. I was taking Monday and Tuesday off work so was going to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I didn't realise I had a meeting on Thursday so I was going to take Thursday off work also. But now I've got to take Wednesday as well as I've just got an appointment for DS2 to see specialist paediatrician - short notice but when I phoned to re-arrange I was told I would be put on the waiting list again. I'm not waiting another 4-6 months so i said I'll take the one on wednesday! I'm taking bets on whether he gets diagnosed or not!

Bard Report post Posted July 23, 2007 Although I owe B a trip to Legoland, and have done for over 4 months, the 26th will not be his day. I am taking G to London for a day of shopping and decadent eating of chocolate pancakes by Big Ben. Then we are going to see SPAMALOT!!!! She is a passionate MP fan, can quote enormous chunks from memory and has everything on DVD that they have ever produced. Spamalot was all that she really wanted for her 16th. MP is one of the very few things that she and OH have in common, but he didn't want to go to the show, being a purist. So just the two of us.

Have fun - not my thing - I'm not really a theatre person. Chocolate pancakes however . . . And so close to me apparently? Pray tell me where this decadent chocolate pancake outlet in the vicinity of Big Ben is? I can think of no better way to cheer myself up when the uni stroppyerize me

I can think of no better way to cheer myself up when the uni stroppyerize me  It's one of those little stalls/cabins. He's opposite Big Ben, so you can eat a pancake and admire the scenery at the same time. I think there's a painting by Monet of Westminster Bridge. Explains why it's a bit fuzzy, if he was painting with a chocolate crepe in the other hand. Forgot to say, the reason it's decadent is that there are a range of fillings, and a queue. And the man is quite old, so doesn't remember if he's already served you. You could your way through the list, or have a dozen chocolate ones and no-one would notice Edited July 23, 2007 by Bard
