Cariad Report post Posted August 9, 2007 Ours have been adjourned for a few months, now we have a school etc but the statement not quite right can it be heard sooner than hanging on until later and wasting term time?
Kathryn Report post Posted August 9, 2007 When we were appealing the second time I was told we could ask for an earlier date in view of the amount of time my daughter had already been out of school. There's probably no guarantee that they can reschedule a hearing, but it's worth asking. K x
Cariad Report post Posted August 10, 2007 Thanks Kathryn, basically the LEA are telling us if you drop the Tribunal you can have this school on offer from us (not 100% yet), but they won't let DS have OT or SALT which he needs written in his statement. The Tribunal is so far away and he may not be going to school till December, I'm so angry as we are being blackmailed by this person in the LEA.. Why is this allowed to happen
PinkSapphire Report post Posted August 19, 2007 In my experience you CAN get the date brought forward but you need to get a special form from SENDIST and get your LEA to also fill in on the same form that they agree with a new date set between you and them and then return the form to SENDIST.
