hi all, just a quick question........... we saw our sons pead to disscuss his 3di form and she aggreed with the original drs diagnosis of aspergers and suggested that she would visit his school (mainstream) and spend some time with him, and advise teachers of how to deal with him, is this usual, or do i have a really really nice dr :unsure:

I think you have one of the better ones.

 

There are plenty of doctors out there that diagnose and think their duty is done and look to discharge the child from their care.

It does seem that it varies quite a lot......

 

Our daughter was diagnosed by the consultant at CAHMS - and both she and the CPN involved came to a couple of meetings that they arranged with the school to discuss our daughters difficulties and what they needed to do to help.
