steves paper round

steve started his first paper round today,he got up at 6.15 with no probs,was finished at 8 and is very pleased with himself

he has agreed with the shopkeeper to do it every day,i think he will get too tired but as hes not at school he can come home and go back to bed

 

im very pleased hes organised it himself but me being me a bit nervous

 

also today he weighed himself at swimming today and hes lost 3 pound me kate and steve go swimming every sunday,they love it,we going tomorrow as well

 

just wanted to ask really,do any of your kids have paper rounds?

My DS had a paper round for a while Hev. He was only getting �1 a night tho, and although he didn't have that many papers to deliver, it covered a large area, and took him well over an hour. Eventually he got fed up, and I didn't blame him for packing it in......they were always adding on someone elses round who didn't turn up, and because DS is a quiet lad, I think they took the mickey.

 

Hope Steve's goes really well. Huge pat on back for him for organising it himself and well done to him for losing 3lb

JP never had a paper round - by the time he was confident enough to cope he was too old!

He may as well give it a go, because no one needs to know if he gives it up. If it's too much, you could look into a weekly round. Our local free paper are always advertising for people to deliver it, and you don't have to do it early mornings either. My supervisor's 14-y-o does one and she often goes with him to keep him company.

well he got up bright and early today and off he went im very proud of him,good idea about the weekly one tally if he gets too tired with this one
