Tally Report post Posted February 21, 2009 It's one of these things offering some kind of freebie. You scan the image into your computer and their website reads the image to offer you your freebie. It generates a code, in the same way that some freebies give you a promotional code to type in. It works in the same way to a bar code, but the complexity of the image means they can generate a much longer code - far longer than they could expect you to type in accurately too. You can get similar images on the sides of some brands of foods. There is now a type of oven which calculates the cooking time by scanning the image on the packet!
