Sex education

Recommended Posts

This conversation happened recently with my 8 year old son.

He had asked some 'sex related' question and so I had given him a fairly brief overview of males and females and what they do to make a baby.

My son, off the cuff says, "I'm not doing that with you mum, you'll have to ask daddy".

:unsure::unsure:

So I had to quickly fill in the spaces in his thought process (or rather expand on my obviously inadequate explanations)!!!

My son was like that then i found him on the internet viewing dodgey sights.............i was in shock but thought least its something normal for once........he was 13 at the time ..i soon put a stop to his activites with the words party is over..........I didnt even know he knew how to spell the incriminateing words to get onto these sights and links.........Just shows never underestimate the Aspie mind or a teenage boy.

I've only recently put a filter on the websites that can be accessed via our computer. I saw a programme on TV about children accessing porn via the internet, and so thought I would ask my 10 year old daughter. She told me that she had innocently typed in the word 'chicks' as she was looking for something for an Easter school project and up popped all kinds of stuff!!

But regarding sex education in general, we rent a field and we keep animals (chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, cows). We breed them and sell them as pets, but also send some to slaughter for the freezer. So my son is used to seeing the animals 'at it' on a regular basis. Yesterday, after I found egg yolk all over the house, he told me that he had been trying to hatch a duck egg! I think he'd put it in his pocket to keep it warm, and then forgot about it and squashed it!

Bless him. Maybe he's going broody. :unsure::unsure:
