Hi Everyone,

 

Guess I am where the majority of yourselves have been at some point. My sons currently going through the local Child Development Unit via referral from school. Two staged assessment process and tomorrow, is the first appointment with the Dr at the hospital. During the first of the two assessment days, the speech theripist said they suspected aspergers and at the end of the second assessment day said they would be carrying out further assessments.

 

All in all this as come as a bit of shock to me, so I have no idea really what tomorrow will bring.

Its nice to meet you, and pleased that your son is been properly assessed with good services, even when services run smoothly it is still difficult to cope with the process, hopefully with the swift assessments your son can access the correct support and in time things will improve, take extra care of yourself over this particularly emotional time.
