wasuup Report post Posted January 15, 2010 (edited) Recap: Son is 5 diagnosed with dsypraxia and we are awaiting a CAMHs asseement for ASD ect. SENCo says his profile is spikey and acknowledges that he is quirky but otherwise he is no problem at school, academically bright ect. We asked for an EP assessment but the school said no although he has difficulties he is not far enough behind his peers. We are concerned because we hardly get one sentence of conversation from him at home (he can talk-slight speech difficulty in pronounciation) for his future academic progress and for his social and emotional side of things. We applied for a stat assess and were refused so have appealed to tribunal the date is at the end of April. So we are meeting the SEN area Manager on Tues to discuss further. Can anyone help with any tips on what to say to him? Edited January 15, 2010 by wasuup
