av16 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 Is there really no way that he could be included? Doesn't seem right. A different situation but I helped to ensure a pupil with diabetes went on a residential trip - teacher was trained and helped do 43 blood tests and 13 injections over 4 days including bloodtests every night at 3am. Really wish something could be done for you both.
caci Report post Posted July 15, 2010 If going on the trip is really not going to be posible, will the school authorise a day's absence? That way you can take him out for a special day (maybe somewhere more suitable than the trip ?) We did this yesterday, as my nearly 12yr old could not cope with the school trip to Southend. He and I had a fantastic day at Chessington instead.
