michele Report post Posted September 21, 2005 this one may seem a bit strange but my son aged 9 has aspergers and over the past 5 or so years has had funny turns on average every few months, although he has had 3 in the past 4weeks. Ill try and describe what happens, he becomes very hot and extremely tired and is sometimes sick but within about 10 or 15 mins is okay again, what is strange is that he says they always start by him looking at something or someone says something that he thinks has happened exactley that way before, like deja vu is the best way to describe it. we have ruled out thing like an anxiety attack or just plain lack of food (because he goes through phases of not eating very much). Im really sruggling to find a cause and would be interested in anyones opinion.
Flora Report post Posted September 21, 2005 Couldn't say for certain obviously, but it could be panic attacks. My son has these and though he isn't sick, he does have all the other symptoms you describe. Lauren
alibaly Report post Posted September 21, 2005 I think you should get him seen by a docotr in order to rule out a form of epilepsy.
Elanor Report post Posted September 21, 2005 I agree that you should go to the GP - it could be anything, but there is a form of epilepsy called petit mal which might be similar to this.
