Kathryn Report post Posted November 23, 2005 Hi, Does anyone know offhand what constitutes "full time education" for benefit purposes? I want to see if I can apply to get my child benefit back for L, now that she has started at college. At the moment she is attending 18 hours a week by choice, although she is officially enrolled on a full time programme. Thanks, K

lisann Report post Posted November 23, 2005 Not 100% sure but I think as long as they are enrolled on a full time course and between the age of 16 - 18 you can still get it.Your local SS will tell you wouldn't mention the hours just mention that it is a full time course. Kathryn Report post Posted November 23, 2005 Thanks guys, and thanks for looking that info up annie. I'm surprised it's only 12 hours - I had in my mind it was about 20- in which case we qualify easily. More forms, more phone calls, what's new.
