Tez Report post Posted November 23, 2005 (edited) I discovered the other day that if you register as a carer with your local branch of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers you are given a card which identifies you as a carer and links back to their database. You don't have to be in receipt of carers allowance to qualify, they registered both myself and my husband as carers, even though my husband works full time. This card entitles you as a carer to discounts off the entry price to various facilities. Our local branch has negoitiated free entry to the local swimmingpools and sports facilities for carers even if they are on their own without the disabled person.
