my ds update on april 05 dla appeal

Recommended Posts

hiya as you may remember from previous posts that i first pplied for dla for my asd ds in april last year.(due to his previous sch senco incorrectly filling in his dwp form,in fact she left it blank)

when i contested after him being turned down they reviewed and gave him low for care(this is a child tha needs 24 h supervision due to his aggression and lack of sleep etc)after sending a letter fom his nurse dispte all the reports from his specialist paed/salt and loads of other stuff from when he was two(he now six)

it then went to appeal but they turned him down and said they have no doubt he is autistic and have needs more than a child his age they were still going on the orignal senco letter and turned him down.so i then sent a lettr to them from his specialist paed/one from his new senco/head of sch along with the complaint letters to and from mplea/chair of gov/counciller for educational matters.two from the chair admitted that they incorrectly filled out the dwp form and that ds has sen and the were including what has happened into their sen policy now.

so inthe post today ive a new appeal date as last decision as been set aside and a represtive from the kent autistic trust is attending with e to support me and thomas. so im hoping all will go in ds favour as i need to sort private speechfor him as he gets it within sch but its only once a month so not enough for him.

the appeal is in april so will let you guys know what happens and as for the previous senco i think she is being retrained but leaving that in the hands of the lea/councillerand mp to deal with and they are updating me.
