clintess Report post Posted March 7, 2006 it is pouring wth rain and on the walk home my ds is not hapy because where we pass under a train bridge normally a train will be going across but today there wasnt one,so he has gone in2 meltdown mode.i didnt take his buggy today but wish i had.ive tried to explain that i had no control over it but still he is not at all happy. Brook Report post Posted March 7, 2006 Hi Clintess, ooh yes, I know this one well. I also know that no amount of explaining helps. My son does things like this, but it's all part of his routine, I suppose if the train is normally there everyday then that's part of his routine totally ruined. I know the meltdowns can be draining. Maybe you could start to say 'there might not be a train today, we will have to see', this may prepare him for not seeing it, but as I already know it's not always that simple is it.
