Platefull of Love Report post Posted September 10, 2006 Its sounds a great idea.D won't take any medication, so this may be a good option ( if he agreed :s ) if it is decided he needs to take ritalin.
Frangipani Report post Posted September 10, 2006 The problem is, will it work. My son was trialed on 3 different slow release medication similar to Ritalin and non of them worked. We had to wait 3 years for Concerta to be released in the dose suitable for him. He needs a whopping 72mg daily Thats $195 AUD per month just for this, but we choose this over Ritalin because he used to have to remember to take his tablets every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I had to constantly follow him to remind him. Patches may be good, but dont get your hopes up, as they may not work effectively throughout the day as we found with other slow release meds.
