I find it difficult myself, as i am on the spectrum am dyslexic dispraxic, etc etc, to sit down and type out things using a lot of explanation, and trying to cover all areas so as not to upset anyone,is hard and i usually say what comes into my head. I asked for amusing stories about children, so that could mean your child or it could mean you when you were a child,. for example when i was 5 i had a brick which i used to look after i was very attached to it and used to clean it and polish it and sleep with it. and I dont understand all the short grouped together words like NT i have no idea what they mean, but it doesnt matter. I dont mean to generalise either, and why i want these stories, they are funny and entertaining, I illustrate childrens books and i find the things that our children do and the things we did as children wether we be autistic or have aspergers or any other things in relation to these things to be quite interesting and inspiring. thankyou x i am a she

Three boys, all 6 days over natural birth very fast labour very fast birth, 1st one spotting through pregnancy, and lost a twin, second normal but in distress during labour, third quick again and over due but I had plateletts that were dropping really fast and they were worried i was developing help syndrome in final week, all babies were in a bad position and none of them cried for days when they were born...straight after the birth that is. all 8 1/2 lb plus and im 5ft 1

gosh you all process information really fast, I dont, I think its a difficult one as my son gets DLA, but thats because of the care component for toilet things etc, and I can do those things... I will see what others say thanky sorry I have no idea what dx means

I am 30, mother of 3, I have an aspergers partner and one diagnosed son of 9, the other two unsure yet, I was diagnosed today as having aspergers, dyslexia, dispraxia, erlens syndrome and attention problems etc. I get dla for my son but does this mean that us adults with it can get it also. I would feel cheeky asking, what do you think.

Hello, I applied and it took4 months, I asked for recreational equipment and a holiday grant, it added up to about 780. I was pleased, 400 of it was for a climbing frame,

I think the first step is to get your child on disability living allowance. get parent partnership to help fill it in. this is what i did, and there had been no diagnosis. when they get the disability, which makes a huge difference, then you can get carers allowance, then you are able to get the family fund every year until the child is 16. I got my grant yesterday, holiday and recreation grant...mind you the max amount for a holiday is 480. but well worth doing all the complicated forms for everything else

I love my boys autistic side, he is so placid and quiet. he has changed as he has got older, he is easier though and i think his autism is far more noticable. the clothes thing must be part ofit he wears a few jumpers with a couple of tiny tshirts over the top. ?

Thanks everyone, it is the hardest thing in the world to understand and makes me feel sad that he cant see life the way other people do. I wonder if talking to social services may help.

How can I get help for my partner, well i say partner he walked out a few weeks back, he is a suspected aspie and has long term depresion, only every year he tries to kill himself and I dont know what to do. or tell the kids. He was due to see a psychologist in5 days I just dont know what to do.
