  5. Hi viper. (Thanks for your Pm) I would show SM the bruise, But try not to make too much of it. I reverted to doing this when k hit me and his sister. Only he wasnt that bothered and still continues to hit out when angry or upset. You never know though... it may work for you if you explain to him gently. <'>
  6. After reading all your posts, i am convinced that this is what my eldest DS has..... and anyone who lives with this condidtion will know how scary the situation becomes when knives are involved.... <'>
  7. Hi Everyone. thanks to everyone who has Pm'd us. your advice and wishes have reassured us that we are doing the right thing. Any advice on home educating is appriciated just now, as after christmas we are going to be teaching 3 kids with special needs and we are worried about it, but determined to make it work. Rather that than br tied up in a corrupt system.. at least we know now that the morals our children learn will be truthfull honest and totally appropriate to their individual learning. thanks again... you have kept us both upright. <'> shaz and steve
  8. Education is ruining our children. This has been a week full of lies from people who we are supposed to trust. We have been seriously let down by the system and have come to the conclusion that we've seriously had enough. We are forcing their young minds to be taught in a society in which they just dont fit, taught by people who dont understand them in an envioroment which is ruining them. Every day seems another brick wall, meetings, meetings meeting... and for what .... for us to sit here worrying about the next meeting about a problem caused by the school. We have lost trust and faith but we have gained a lot of dignity from the fact that we are right and they are wrong. The way we have been treated means that much, that we are willing now to make the final stand against their web of lies and deciet. we have been thinking of this for a while, but all this has been the straw that has broke the camels back. Our kids safety comes before education.... we can keep them safe at home.... we are inteligent articulate people and we believe we can give more to our kids than the corrupt warped education system which they are all tied up in now. That headmaster wants us to send our DS back to that death trap without a second glance under the carpet for his lost SEN files... well sorry Mr headteacher we dont subscribe to your mainsteam education - its not appropriate for our childrens individual needs. We can give them a better form of education right here. this is going to be there new residential school. we refuse to let our children be educated in a system which is corrupt, if this wasnt the case we would have got an apology, they were bang out of order on four counts at least (although there are more i assure you) 1) loss of knife without accountability 2) Loss of SEN files 3) hubby can fully justify his actions and intentions - CCTV doesnt Lie..... yet not so much as an apology 4) thinking they could corrupt us in their blatent cover up... we dont want to live by those warped rules, we will not allow our kids to be taught these warped rules as they grow up - our kids are people - we are people - and these people are determined to show the world that we can go this alone... Thanks for your support (We thank you for everything. you have taught us so much - i hope We'll be welcomed here in future) Keep the Faith

  18. Hi all. does anyone know about bipolar disorder? I have seen it wrote on some peoples profiles and signatures and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the charachter of a child with this... for example. Would a 15 year old (for example) who was displaying increased high mood and hyperactivness, sillyness and dangerous behaviour, yet alternating to wanting to kill himself, having dark thoughts and feeling as though he cant get out of bed, or is that just been a teenager??? For the sake of clarification this behaviour has been the same for 12 years... I have tried looking for it on the inter-pet, but i cant actually find how a child with this would act day to day. Thanks......... shaz
  19. Thanks Karen... im onto it. x
  20. Hi KA. <'> <'> <'> Hoping some hugs help cheer you up. Its a horrible situation to be in. 21. Opinions please <'> Dear Mr ****** May I request that this email be passed to the head teacher and also to Mrs ******. I would prefer for now to communicate through email for the time been if possible, as I have pneumonia and am finding it hard to speak. In accordance with the guidelines for making a complaint I am sending this email firstly to the school. I will make sure all other agencies involved in this complaint receive a copy, to make everyone aware of the real concerns we have as parents. My husband and I are understandably annoyed, upset and angry about Friday?s events, but more so we are confused as to why the original question has still not been answered by the school. A reminder of that question ?How was that knife allowed to turn up in my autistic son?s bedroom?? Your policy as a school should stop pupils accidentally bringing home knifes. However if your school does not adopt this policy, then surely that is another huge misgiving on your behalf. I would encourage some clarification on this. We believe that Friday?s events, however they have turned out, have been caused by a mistake which started at your school. The head teacher agreed with my husband on Friday that this was the case. I would now like to request that this reason be put in writing and sent to us at your earliest convenience. Until we can gain some closure on this fact and assurances that such a situation cannot happen again I feel it inappropriate to return Liam to your care. When you feel you can answer this question honestly and without prejudice to whatever you feel for my family. We will be happy to move onto the next step. My husband deeply refutes your comments in which you labelled him an ?intruder? and a ?threat?. He was nothing other than a concerned parent trying to point out in plain English a massive security issue. And I must ask the question, how many knife wielding intruders do you shake hands with every day Mr *****? Could I now request a copy of your school policy on health and safety. As well as some guidance on Liam?s curriculum. In a separate issue which was raised on Friday, I would also like to know who is responsible (if not yourselves) for the loss of Liam?s S.E.N records. These records held information as to why Liam should be monitored in the issues I?ve raised. Maybe once you have found them and read them, you may understand just what an impact such a mistake could have had on our family, and take full responsibility for your actions. We are reserving our rights as parents and keeping all options open. Have i done the right thing?
  22. Thanks viper, i didnt think of this morning, but i have just fired off an email to panorama, i think they will be interested in the lack of security in schools, if not the ease in which dangerous equipment can be taken. (mistakenly or otherwise). x
  23. we did get legal advice and that was....We wont be able to get legal aid, and the solicitors fees are 100+ an hour, its money we havent got, especially as we need to get a new cooker and fridge because they have both packed up. well actually the cooker was condemed, even thats been a ###### up, its apparently been unsafe since the guy from the council repaired it 6 months ago........... every where - a brick wall. The usefull lady at direct line (our insurance) told me to forget it and move on.... (lodging seperate complaint about her whole attitude) basically she said no one died and we should get over it..... just adds to my frustration really.... x
  24. I'd love to agree at opening the can of worms, but to be honest apart from the primary school, you guys and my family every one else has turned into a brick wall. We have offered the full (coherant) story to the local bbc radio station, which when stripped bare is about how my son was able get the knife from school to our house. whatever his reasons (which were accidental) It comes down to them having no system in place to check their equipment upon leaving the classroom. If i gave my child a stanley knife and told him to go play with it, then social services would be on my back, yet I send him to <inset approriate useless school here> and they get away with it. As far as the police are concerned the matters finished.... we'll have to wait for ofstead to investigate.... School wont budge and tell the truth - admit their mistake . we wont budge, because we've done nothing wrong. we are at stale mate where do we turn next? Should we forget the whole thing and give in? send liam back to a school which cant guarentee his safety? Lets not forget its not just about this... they have lost all his SEN records. Where are they? who now has access to that very personal information within the school? I give up. cant see a way forward... if AnyOne has an idea of any brick walls we've not thought of banging our heads on yet, could you please tell us where to find them. Health and safety law ? I know they probably breached it somewhere but i cant track down where !! We could do with some support as regards keeping the focus on the main point - (security) so if anyone wants to drop a message to either www.minsterfm.com/news or www.bbc.co.uk/northyorkshire i would be really gratefull. I will send the link to the story if it makes its way to print before the end of the week. unless they have forgotton we exist as well. Thanks everyone. <'> shaz n steve
