Well it is only the second night. The two candles on the right hand side are for each of the nights and the middle one is the shumash (servant) which you use to light the others. The candles are put in right to left, and lit left to right. A candle is added each day until the end of the holiday where they are all lit.

We took the kitten to the vet and she said that it was a lucky escape, if he had been near the candle for much longer there would have been damage. A couple more seconds and he would have burnt his eyes and mouth. But as it goes he is just a slightly singed kitty who is unbalanced and a little agitated, silly thing doesn't learn though! He tried to jump in the oven when I was making biscuits this morning.

My GP is a popular doctor in an inner city clinic, I'm lucky if I get to see her within 2 weeks. Especially at this time of year it is almost impossible to get an appointment. The receptionists at the clinic are on the most part alright, there are a couple of people who could do with taking down a peg or two, then again I haven't had any major health problems to deal with yet.

Ok slight disaster. The kitten decided to jump up on the table where the candles were when my back was turned for a couple of seconds. Silly thing has burned off one side of his whiskers and a little patch of fur on his side.

YAY! We've had doughnuts and soon will be having latkes I am happy. Hope everyone has a nice evening. <'>

That is the game I really want to play on the wii! My girlfriends brother has one, and we're going to get him to bring it round once we get a telly that works and has scart (our big tv died on us, and we have been lent an ancient tv that doesn't have scart). I want a wii for myself someday
