ss came to see me 11 days ago and sald they would contact me last week regarding respite,well they didnt so i phoned them today and she said they cant give me respite till theyve met steven,why didnt they do that at the beggining then,shes already spoken to stevens school and lea and they told her i need respite,shes coming out friday to meet steven,im peed right off with it all,think they are rubbish,just gonna call my mp,it all tires me out

Welcome to their world........ at least you're lucky enough that they are considering giving you respite at all.......

 

Just watch when they see him, don't want to sound awful, but see if you can make him be on his worst behaviour while they're there, you know, stress him out beforehand (without them knowing ofcourse!). They need to see your problems to believe them, you can't believe the things they can come up with if they 'see' a 'normal' child that's well-behaved. whatever everyone else who knows the child says......... sorry, hope I am not making you worried here, I am only trying to help, him behaving badly might make a world of difference to what they end up providing.

I called social services many times in the last 7 years, and they have never been any help at all

 

"You know you arent coping so therefore you are doing a grand job you dont need us"

 

was the classic reason for closing my case

 

2 weeks ago I called them (I dont know why I even bother now lol

 

It was out of hours so I called the "emergency number"

 

I get an bl***y answer phone!!!

 

It seems funny now, but at the time I wanted to strangle Cameron....how funny would it be if Iactually did!!!
