soraya Report post Posted October 24, 2007 Tommorow i am driving to the cotswolds to drop Nick off for a weekend of fishing. I am quite nervous of the drive as i usually only drive locally. I am doing this for Nick as he would not be able to go if i didnt take him It is 3 hours each way but i have my trusty sat nav so i should be fine !! I am avoiding the motorways as i have a phobia of them, ( i wonder where Nick gets his problems from!!)

Mumble Report post Posted October 25, 2007 Good Luck. I took a specialist motorway driving course and it really helped - I'd advise it to anyone as I wouldn't go near them before but now I would choose to use them over other roads. Smiley - you do know that Father Christmas doesn't buy pressies? - his elves make them in Lapland.

soraya Report post Posted October 25, 2007 Well I did it, it wasent too bad and we didnt get lost, l am exhausted after 6 hours driving, plus Nick saying he felt anxious and couldnt stay without me, he ran after the car when l was leaving screaming "take me home". I managed to get him to stay in the end, as l knew he would be fine when l had gone. This goes to show how strong his anxietys are as this is one of the best fishing lakes in England and he has been wanting to fish it all year!!He is with a lovely coach so l know he will be fine, rather him than me 5 nights in a bivvy in October!! Five days of peace and quiet for me
