lyns Report post Posted February 25, 2005 I'm really not happy with the school that my son is in at the moment so would like to find a really good school as I feel this is really important. I would be willing to move right out of the area I am in at the moment but how do I find a school that will be suitable for him. I have had a couple of prospectus's from a couple of the NAS schools (Radlett Lodge andHelen Allison school) but just wanted know if anyone knows anything about these schools. I live in essex at the moment. Any advice about finding a good school appreciated. My son is 5 and has very challenging behaviour at times and is non verbal. Kazzen161 Report post Posted February 25, 2005 NAS are not the only ones who run AS specialist schools - use the search facilities on www.oaasis.co.uk (look for "Finding a SEN school"). If you moved closer to one of the NAS schools, that would not necessarily increase your chances of getting in to the school. At my son's school, it is easier for London Borough children to get the funding than it is for children who live in the same county as the school.
