ScienceGeek Report post Posted June 26, 2008 I've been making an effort to get myself out a bit more (well twice a month at least). I have been to two social group meetings so far and have had a fab time. I went to the Cheltenham AS pub group this evening and the 2hrs went far too quickly, I felt really at ease with people who had similar special interests as my own and like I belonged rather than being the person sitting quietly at the edge of a room. I'm feeling really happy this evening.
CEJesson Report post Posted June 26, 2008 Hey there, Im pleased to read this has been a success for you - I wish there was something like this in my area, but will investigate again. Keep it up! Chris
chill2computer Report post Posted July 5, 2008 I also joined a social group for Aspergers and I felt I belonged somewhere for the first time. I have been doing emotional coaching for adults with Aspergers to help me make decision, this is one area I find very difficult. Not sure if they do this in the area where you live.
