Carrera74 Report post Posted May 15, 2010 My DS knew something wasn't quite right and I think it helped (in the long run) knowing what it was that made him different. Don't regret things you have done. Like Justine says, he would have clicked eventually and perhaps that would have been worse?
Suze Report post Posted May 15, 2010 Oxgirl hes 16 virtually an adult if he did,nt know now ..he would do in the future. How could you explain the fact he,s in a resourced unit at high school or any of the other stuff. If things are tough for you and him at the moment it may just be his age and stuff you know?......any kid entering their adolesence questions who they are, the way they look act and behave , its all part of being a teenager, perhaps he,s just having trouble accepting who he is iyswim??As an adult though surely knowing his dx is gonna be a good and helpful thing in the long run.He doesn,t have to shout his dx from the roof tops as he enters the adult world be it will enable him to understand himself and surely thats a good thing. All the best to you guys, suzexxx. <'>
