Tally Report post Posted May 26, 2011 This evening I'm heading off to classy Croydon to go to an Asperger pub group. I was a bit nervous but I'm just looking forward to it now. Am wearing the T-shirt I bought at the Suede concert, so it might be a conversation-starter.

Kathryn Report post Posted May 26, 2011 Oh yes, Croydon is classy - only the best people live there. It's where I first lived when we came to the UK - so many fond memories of it. And my daughter was born there 22 years ago. Which pub is it? PM me ? Just idle curiosity - not thinking of turning up J x
caci Report post Posted May 26, 2011 Please will you PM me the pub name too ? We live quite close to Croydon, and although our son is too young for the pub yet, those days will come. Hope you have a great time
baddad Report post Posted May 26, 2011 You should form a pub quiz team! My guess would be storming ahead in the specialist subject rounds but dropping points on current affairs! Have a lovely time, despite the Brett Anderson T-shirt Metal Mickey? No it's the way these trousers hang. Boom Boom!
Tally Report post Posted May 26, 2011 I think it's the trousers that help him reach the high notes! I had a good time and the other people seem nice. The group facilitators left at 8.30, but most of us stayed a bit longer and it was better then in a bit of a smaller group. I am definitely going again I don't really live that close to Croydon, but it's a direct train so it's fairly easy to get to even though it takes a little while. The NAS Surrey branch don't do anything for adults at all, so this is the nearest group for me. It was the first time I've been to Croydon other than to change trains, so it was a whole new and interesting experience!

trekster Report post Posted January 15, 2013 I help to run social groups in the Bristol and bath areas and find these benefit the members.
Aeolienne Report post Posted January 19, 2013 Apparently Croydon has been chosen for the site of London's third Westfield Centre, which when built will be the biggest shopping mall in Europe. Are there enough financially secure high street names to fill it, I wonder?
