Stephanie Report post Posted January 12, 2006 I don't know if it is just me but everytime that Coldplay song "Talk" comes on I end up in a flood of tears because the words so relate to my son/autism - and it is so catchy you end up singing it for the rest of the day and end up totally miserable! I must get to the on/off button quicker!

Gordie Report post Posted January 12, 2006 Blimey - it's just as well I rarely listen to (or really think much about) song lyrics then, and only appreciate a good song for its tune (which I love in "Talk"). James
UltraMum Report post Posted January 13, 2006 (edited) I struggle with Lee Anne Womack's song 'I hope you dance' - I always hope that J will get to dance. I hope you never lose your sense of wonder You get your fill to eat But always keep that hunger May you never take one single breath for granted God forbid love ever leave you empty handed I hope you still feel small When you stand by the ocean Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance I hope you dance I hope you dance I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance Never settle for the path of least resistance Living might mean taking chances But they're worth taking Lovin' might be a mistake But it's worth making Don't let some hell bent heart Leave you bitter When you come close to selling out Reconsider Give the heavens above More than just a passing glance Edited January 13, 2006 by MotherEve

asereht Report post Posted January 13, 2006 I put the radio on in the car and TALK and FIX YOU came on one after the other . I have the album and it's brilliant. When FIX YOU comes on the radio when my son is in the car he stares out the window with a far away look in his eyes totally absorbed in the song I couldn't believe the first time I heard TALK , it was like it was wriiten for my son T

loulou Report post Posted January 17, 2006 Hi, Talk is a very moving song. I was playing it last night (Kai usually screams when i play music), but he came in my bedroom totally starkers with his plastic hoover as a guitar! He was prancing around the room like a mad thing and he looked so funny! Loulou x
Stephanie Report post Posted January 17, 2006 Ha ha good, it's not just me then! I'm ok til I get to the second verse of talk "are you lost or incomplete/ do you feel like a puzzle you can't find your missing piece/ tell me how you feel/ well I feel like they're talking in a language I don't speak/ and they're talking it to me". Nightmare! If I can't get to the radio before that verse comes on, I've had it - time to re-apply the mascara! What are we like?
