Hi, my son started becoming violent, just after he was 12, if you are interested you can read my posts on here, I too had a core assessment, which had many things I didnt agree with, they were changed, but not on the form as I was told they had "no option" for that!!!! but added as an admendment. Life was very difficult for a long time, about a year, it seemed like for ever at the time, medication and this forum saved me! medication for my son that is, not me, red wine helped though , Sometimes you have to go along with things, I was scared just how powerful SS were, I had 2 much younger children, and was very worried that they would insist it was DS or the younger two, as he was very violent, instead they did nothing, there were times when I was so scared of him, when I begged them to take him, so I wouldnt worry too much, things have settled down for us now, so there is hope! just hang on in there and do whatever it takes to get you through the day. A really good book I can recommend is "the explosive child" by Ross W Greene. Keep strong. Enid

Hi, yes its 90 mins for his age group, but I would still push for a solo taxi, that length of time with 2/3 boys/girls can be very stressfull squashed in a taxi, they could fall out, and also dropping off an picking up gives the chance of children getting out, mine would! you have nothing to loose by trying for a solo, I did and got it, in fact the taxi driver has become a really important person in my sons life, it started nearly 2 years ago when he arrived and I was physically struggling to get my son dressed and I marched out of house in PJ`s and told driver to come and get him, he did!!!! would not want to go back to those dark days again, over 18 months ago now, anyway, go for it, you have nothing to loose. good luck. Same here!!! washing machine door wont open and all clothes stuck in there, bloke coming tomorrow, saturday, this happened wednesday!!! then the ecomony 7 water heating thingy went, managed with the immersion for a few days then got a bloke to do it, took the tank oiut, it broke! this was yesterday thursday, so we now have NO hot water at all, 4 kids and just got a kettle.... Monday evening is the earliest for delivery. The hairdryer went sunday so hopefully that is the three! BUT am dreading the bills, new tank will be at least £250, then there is all the hours work and then the washing machine repairs Enid
