Oh 'eck! S*x-Ed at school.......... THE video!! I'm very, very open and honest with Little Monkey about our bodies, how they work, how to make babies, and all that jazz........ so he's already 'in the know'.. I knew the video was going to be shown (teachers had to pre-warn us!), so i was expecting something to be said on the way home from school. Me "Whatcha do today hun?". Lil Monkey "We watched a programme about cats, and kittens, and human development" Me "How was it?" Lil Monkey "Ohhhhhhhh mum, i already KNOW how all that happens.......... but do they really need to show me on telly? I think a drawing would have been nicer. It was not pleasant" Took me a couple of minutes to compose myself............. Me "Soooooo, what happened in the programme?" Lil Monkey "They were making a baby" Me "Did it make sense? Did you understand it?" Lil Monkey "Yes, i know what goes where (!!!!! ) and how it's all done. But i'm not having any babies when i'm older, so i wont need to" *I had one of those 'should i? shouldn't i?' moments......... Me "Erm... hun, grown up's dont just do that to have babies, it's a way of showing someone extra special that you love............" His face was sheer horror!! He looked at me as though i'd grown another head - and an alien one at that......... Lil Monkey "Why on EARTH would anyone wanna do THAT!!!????" Me "Ummmmmm 'coz it feels nice...." Lil Monkey "Yuk, gross, i am never, ever growing up" :lol: And that was just the drive home!!

Just finished the 'Overheard in a Dream' one........... really enjoyed it. I liked the style of her writing, and the workings of the brain always fascinates me. Wasn't sure i'd like it as it's her first novel, but i did. Reminded me a little of Jodi Picoult's Keeping the Faith a little....
