  1. My daughter also hates wearing clothes. Shes never happier than sitting in her nighty. She cant stand tops that are tight or jeans and shoes are a complete nightmare!.
  2. Well the wheels are in motion. Imentioned to the head master today that we have put in writing to the board of governers all the problems we are having, would you believe !!!..............whoosh , suddenly there are meetings set up everyone is to attend. I think because i sounded like i know what i was doing (even though i dont!!) they are going to start panicking. so meeting is 23rd november, and we see chels doctor on 25th november. Am still feeling angry and intimidated by them all. I have phoned another school today and am going to look round on monday. Chelsie has said herself she would like to go to another school which is major for her as she hates change. So i will keep you posted!!
  3. Hya everyone Thankyou so much for your support and advice, its great to know there are people out there supporting me. I had an appointment with the headmaster thisafternoon. I went armed with her file and spilled my guts all over his desk!!. The outcome was that he was horrified and said obviously he needed to look into the matter. So he was planning on speaking to everyone concerned after school today . In the mean time i asked her if anything happened at school today and she says the teacher has told her she has an attitude. Just to let you know she turned 7 last week!!!. So now i will wait and see what happens next and will keep you posted. I feel a lot stronger knowing i am in the right i think these people can be intimidating sometimes. Unfortunatly i am not going to let them bully my daughter. Thanks again everyone x x x x x <'>
  4. thankyou everyone . She makes the noises at all times wether happy or sad for no paticular reason they have got louder last couple of nights because of the fireworks i think. She is on school action but the will not put her on school action plus as academicly she is brilliant (unlike mom who cant spell a thing!). Worst thing is it was parents evening last week and not a thing was said to me. The sen is off sick so im jusy involving the head and her teacher at the moment . I just feel totaly unsuported and cant believe i have been sending chelsie into this enviroment every day.
  5. I am so upset today. My aspurger daughter who im convinced also has mild tourettes has confided in me today (something she never does)She does make a lot of awful noises and has done since she was learning to talk such as humming and shouting out when its not appropiate. Anyway she told me that she is being sent out of class when she makes noises she hets 3 warnings and then another child is told to remove her from the room, she is then taken to the head of year who tells her to sit in a corner. I have phoned a friend of hers who is in her class and he told me the same story so i know this is happening. I have spent most of the night in tears and am going to see the head first thing in the morning. Just wanted to know if anyone has any advice. Am not involving usless senco as she once said to me 'Chelsie has autism so what my son has hayfever' so lost all faith in her x. Please help or tell me if im being a drama queen . I feel she is being punnished for having autism
  6. My daughter aspergers was born 4 weeks early by elective section and was in ITU for 2 weeks and weighed 4 lb . I often wonder if it has anything to do with it.
  7. Glad to know im not on my own. Im always being told how lovely and polite chelsie is and i have to agree. So why do i always feel like a bad mom. I feel she is copying the other children at school not being herself. The head of spec needs actually commented to me that i worry to much , she said 'chelsies got autism so what my sons got hayfever' I wont tell you what my reply was! Shes been on the pc tonight for 5 hours solid. do i leave her why shes happy or do i make her come off, wish someone would write a guide book for me!
  8. Just wondering wether there are other children out there like my 6 year old chelsie . She was diagnosed with aspergers 18 months ago. Gets no support at school as she is highly intelligent and nobody seems to think she needs any help as they are happy to let her plod through her days. The thing is she is a golden little girl . Doesnt sleep well but is happy to sit in her room all night reading. The biggest problem we seem to have is the fact that she constantly wants to be alone. She doesnt like company at all which breaks my heart. I always feel like a bad parent because she asks nothing of me . I thing sometimes it would be easier if she where more challenging as then at least i would know i was needed. Pretty selfish huh?! I just read other posts and think ive got it so easy and yet i still complain . We have problems with getting her to go out anywhere but as long as we are at home she is totaly happy. I wonder if anybody elses children are like Chelsie? I get the 'she doesnt look like shes got autism' al lot and tend to reply 'we had the horns removed from her head so it isent so obvious' which i know is terrible but i think it is such a stupid and iggnorant comment.
  9. Thanks a lot for your advice. I do have little cards saying 'my name is chelsie and i have aspergers etc' but i wanted something official so that i dont feel like a fraud anytime i say chelsie is disabled . Hope im not the only one who feels this way i just think its really difficult when there standing there really pleasently!!
  10. Have just spent 2 weeks on holiday with chelsie and she was obsessing about her game boy so we took it off her and she obsessed about a pretty stone she had found so we took that off her and she obsessed about a drinking straw!.............We gave her back her game boy! her usuall obsessions are 101 dalmations horses stones pc reading
  11. If its any comfort to you my chelsie wouldnt let me touch her from birth untill she was around 4 years old when she suddenley started to love and kiss me. Its still on her terms that we have a cuddle but was well worth the 4 year wait.
  12. I was wondering if anyone knows where you can get some sort of card form that says your child has aspergers. This year i have noticed a few times that on trying to get into theme parks etc and saying we have a disabled child with us, they always look at us like we are dirt whilst chelsie stands there smiling sweetly!. Also at he airport recently we had to explain why chelsie had such a humongous hand luggage bag (full of her 101 damations) and they where brilliant and gave us front seats on plane with extra leg room. But i hate having to stand there explaining whilst people are behin me gawping at us . Any info i would be really grateful for
