    love notes

There was a guy I was in love with in my teens and we wrote to each other a lot. When we split up I got rid of the letters, but I've always regretted it, because it's a bit of my history. Not very illuminating, but you did ask.
  2. I dabbled with the idea of being a lead singer for an amateur band which did some gigs for friends weddings and stuff. I did do a few practices with them. It was really exhilarating, to be honest. But I realised I couldn't give it the time it needed. Doing gigs sounds so exciting, though, very life-affirming
  3. Fair comment. My sanity only made it to 3:23, and that was on sufference. You have more stamina than me.
  4. Well I've got 'hold on george' by Van Morrison in mine, which somewhat random, I think
  5. Sounds like your granny was ace. I have my own funeral play- list, which I know sounds incredibly morbid at 35, but it's basically so that if anything should happen suddenly, there'll be something to play at my funeral and something to give to anyone who gives a hoot to remember me by. I email updates to my sister from time to time and she keeps them safe. There's some ponderous stuff in it, but mainly it's music that has given me pleasure in life.
  6. Lizzy, I've had 'She will be loved' in my head a lot since you posted this
  7. Brilliant! I love this penguin charm thing. Post a photo when you have the turquoise in.
  8. Proves nowt. Isn't it just easier to say I've beaten you? By the way, I think your profile's wrong. It says you age is 21, but surely the digits got muddled round? Best check on that, eh?
  9. Ok, I'm gonna be brave. I can't pinpoint an all-time favorite song, but here's one that was my favorite for quite a while when I was younger and seems to have followed me through life pretty well.
  10. Like lots on here, this is going to take some thought.
  11. Our son used to hurt his sister relentlessly. It was very painful to see someone I love as much as my daughter being hurt so much by someone I love as much as my son. My daughter began to cry silently, the way abused children do. Even my presence couldn't stop it. It stopped the day we brought our dog home. His fixation with hurting his sister had been redirected towards stroking Lola. I'm not saying the answer's in a dog, but I do think the whole thing offers the hope that something may come along which entirely alters the situation for you. This isn't inevitably how it'll always be.
  12. The way I see it I've already beaten you, AS Warrior. Anything you say will only prove you're trying to shut me up because you know I know the truth.

I don't think the gladiators had much choice, really. I also think that contestants on BGT are deluded about their abilities and are thus seen as fair game somehow. Animal cruelty is a topic in which I don't often engage because it's just too massive. I became vegetarian when I was 12, having made the connection between animals and meat at the age of three and protested for the next nine years (although I liked sausages and burgers, so they didn't count until I became properly vegetarian). That said, like you say, some medical stuff has been very important. I don't know. Too big.

Walked into that one. I don't see how shouting "Off, off, off" on Britain's Got Talent is much different, though. It's the same mentality of anonymity through mass action. Things haven't changed that much.
  16. See, you've no mercy. You're obviously not taking this seriously. But then, what would I expect from the forum mafia?
  17. Yeah yeah. I think people skim read and reply to your posts coz they know that otherwise you'll just harass them, so they get in with you so you'll leave them alone. Same goes for Darkshine. Everyone's just really scared of both of you so they fall in. It takes a fresh outlook on here to see what's really going on.
  18. Well that'd neaten the forum up nicely. Noone reads you two anyway.

Aw, somebody appreciate my bull thing.
  20. Ha, yes, me too! I always sang, "it's full of peppery goodness", though. No idea where I got the 'peppery' bit from .
