Devon mum Report post Posted April 17, 2007 (edited) Well a few weeks ago my 11 year old ASD lad discovered Flash and is now experimenting with dreamweaver. He has started his very own and very special website! All are welcome to pop over and see how it's growing. He has become interested in doing animations. <'> Visit my Son's Website <'> Edited April 17, 2007 by Devon mum

baddad Report post Posted April 17, 2007 (edited) BD Just had a thought... Ben occassionally plays with a little stick figure animation programme... http://www.snapfiles.com/get/stickfigure.html It's a nice little freeware application, and you can export the movies as gifs Ben has run it on two diffrent OS (win98SE and XP) and no bugs whatsoever. One thing ben likes is that you can add any bitmap/jpeg backgrounds you like (just resize to the framesize you're using first!) - so IE a football pitch you can make the figures play on... I also use a freeware gif animator to make up avvies etc... http://www.download.com/Beneton-Movie-GIF/...4-10646551.html I've just noticed this is a new version to mine, so it may have some new features - can't speak for those but the old version was great, and the reviews for the new version seem equally positive... I'll have to download it later! L&P BD Edited April 17, 2007 by baddad
Devon mum Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Thanks for th comments guys and I've shown them to Keiran! Keiran is grinning from ear to ear! The Cheshire Cat has nothing on him right now It's great that he has found something positive he can do with his drawing talent apart from using up reams and reams of paper! Clare63 Report post Posted April 17, 2007 WOW Kieran your website is great, don't forget to get Mum to remind us when you do some more animations. Hope you do some more adventures about the snake !
baddad Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Hi again DM/Kieran - Just had another look at that Gif animator upgrade and it's actually just an update to enable it to work on Vista - so no new features after all! Still, two bits of free fun software that work, so I hope you find them of interest L&P BD
Kathryn Report post Posted April 17, 2007 (edited) Brilliant Keiran, I love the snake especially. I'll show your site to my 9 year old son who'll be very interested too. Thanks for sharing it with us K x Edited April 17, 2007 by Kathryn
Devon mum Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Thanks BD Keiran has gone to bed but I will show him your post in the morning. I'm sure he will take a look at the link, but he has been using the Apple Mac upstairs for his designs so it'll depend on whether or not it's compatible with Mac OS-X (point whatever) He likes to mess about on the school computers so he may try to use that link there when they go back next week.
