BusyLizzie100 Report post Posted July 23, 2007 (edited) We have just found out that LEA is preparing a proposed amended statement- couldn't be happier! This means we can now appeal to try and get what DS2 really needs - a change of school from mainstream to autism-specific. Basically, he has not been getting the SALT on his Statement for over a year, we complained, and LEA said they were going to amend to REDUCE to what he is getting now. Additionally, the report from the senior Ed Psych has just dropped on the mat and LEA says they are going to incorporate stuff from her report into STatement, and SEN officer is working on it now, should get proposed amended Statement by beginning of next week... Yes it is strange what makes one happy in this parallel universe we are forced to live in - if we try and tell people outside the SEN system what and why we are celebrating they don't get it do they?!
