Kathryn Report post Posted November 21, 2007 I've seen a Christmas tree in someone's house already - as I walked past the window they were decorating it. And our local supermarket has the most disgusting decorations I've ever seen, gold Christmas trees with bright pink and purple baubles. K x

Bard Report post Posted November 25, 2007 We LOVE Christmas in this house! First Sunday of Advent next week, light the first candle on the Advent wreath. St Nicholas Feastday on the 6th. Baking stuff and making yummy things to eat...don't tell me you avoid that bit BD! We decorate the tree on Midwinter's Day, 21st. Planting all sorts of bulbs to flower through the winter in the house. Presentswapping day on the Saturday before Xmas when all the random members of the family gather from all over to meet before the holiday. Most of us spend Xmas at home, so we meet and celebrate before. Boxing Day is Grandparent Day, they come over for handmade prezzies and cards to tell them how wonderful and loved they are. We love Christmas, even OH smiles occasionally when watching the fun.

My Grandad had one, he was 93 and used it right up to the last! Old people feel the cold, even if they're well-padded themselves.
