hedders Report post Posted May 16, 2008 Can someone explain what this means, just looking through letters and the head teacher wrote to pead saying dd doesnt need any additional educational support in school This week i got a copy of my dd provision which she has had for 3yrs and recieves 2hrs a week with help from ta and senco. Is this additional educational support or does head teacher mean from outside agenices ??? Just a little confused.
Kazzen161 Report post Posted May 16, 2008 See the CofP - "where progress is not adequate, it will be necessary to take some additional or different action to enable the pupil to learn more effectively .... these interventions are additional to or different from those provided as part of the school's usual differentiated curriculum offer and strategies" What you describe sounds like additional support - only a few children in the school would get it.
