Work-Related Activity Group

If you are placed in the Work-Related Activity Group, you will be expected to take part in work-focused interviews with your personal adviser. You will get support to help you prepare for suitable work.

In return, you will receive a work-related activity component in addition to your basic rate.

Customers are not required to attend the Work-Focused Interview (WFI) until it’s been confirmed that they’ve been placed in the Work-Related Activity Group."

That should mean if your friend hasnt found suitable work then her money shouldnt be cut.

then there is some documents about government legislation changes to 2012

Reading that at the moment, it references ESA C which means contributions ie

people whose income is too high or have paid enough national insurance

contributions will be affected.

Your friend is likely to be on the other form of ESA IR (income related). Was she on

income support before she got moved onto ESA? If so she will definitely be on ESA IR

and so not affected.

It does mention those claiming ESA IR are unaffected.
