He then said "so whats his special skill" i thought for ##### sake. Is it just me that finds it really annoying when people think this? I know its not there fault but i just wish it wasnt always portraed that they all have some kind of genius skill. I felt like saying "well his special skill is massive kickoffs everyday!! Bullet Report post Posted July 14, 2006 At least he's trying to understand and not saying something like "all he needs is a good slap" or "there's nowt wrong with him". I can understand it must be frustrating to hear, but better to be wellmeaning and ignorant than nasty and ignorant.

My mother in law, don't know what she really thinks as she really seems interested in Matthews AS but then behind our back I am sure it is different. she told my sister that she should have Matthew for 4wks and then she would sort him out! Bagpuss Report post Posted July 15, 2006 Liz, with the summer hols looming I'd be taking her up on her offer...she'd soon change her opinion Brooke, I agree, that your friend's comment appears to be well meaning and maybe he is just trying to learn more....which is great I'm rarely asked about our dd's dx or how it affects her/us from family or friends, although my mum and one or two mates are really great .
