He has to prove himself first before we'll authorise the expenditure

All, Following recent issues with the forum being down, we have been looking at the causes of this. We have discovered 2 issues that have contributed to this:- 1. Drop in service levels from our ISP 2. Corruption of the databases that hold the forum information With regards to the first problem, there is little we can do without incurring considerable cost to move the forum to a new ISP. Our ISP is one of the cheapest we can find and in all honesty the uptime of the forum is still very good compared to most other ISP's. With regards to the second problem, this is an inherent issue when using SQL databases to store information and something we need to keep a close eye on. The problem is easily fixed when it occurs however I am away on business quite a lot and so for this reason Elefan and myself have employed a 'Tech Support Bloke' to assist. Lufty has been granted admin rights to be able to go and repair the databases when they become corrupt. Hi all, To add to what nellie has already said, We disallow the naming of schools/organisations and the like particularly where this is likely to lead to 'my school is better or worse than your school' attitudes. This is due to the possibility of defamation (I think thats the right word) and action being taken against us by the organisation in question if they feel they are being bad mouthed in public. Just a gentle reminder to those new members who may not know the policy. Thanks all, Kris

All, Dont worry if you dont log out. You dont have to and the forum will make you 'invisible' after 60 minutes. If you then click on anything in the forum you will be logged back in again automatically as if you'd never left. Clever eh?! Kris

Hi all, I've just been made aware of the turn that this topic has taken so apologies for not picking up on this sooner. I think that Simon (Mossgrove) has summed things up perfectly. There is no place on the forum for personal attacks or rudeness. Both parties in this feel equally strongly about their individual views and will have to agree to disagree. Apart from anything else the tone of this will detract from the overall points that you are trying to make which can be argued as equally valid depending on your viewpoint. I will edit two of the posts to remove the 'harsher' elements whilst allowing the topic to continue and the points to be made. Poor mites just get so terribly carried away) "Is she over here?" <walks over to a fake wooden tree (and very obviously fake it is too!) "Noooooooooooooooooooo" <Buttons stands centre stage, with hands on hips, feeling butch, looking camp> "Well where is she boys and girls" <Cinders can be seen, behind Buttons, bungee jumping!!!!!
