  1. Anyone else got to that part of the summer holiday where they'd much, much rather be doing anything else that playdough, painting, reading spongebob squarepants, watching spongebob square pants, bouncing on trampolines, wizzing roundabouts around, bike riding, freezing in the baby pool, when you'd rather be in the nice warm grown up pool, playing star wars, playing transformers, playing spiderwick, persuading son a sandwich is much nicer than an ice cream............................................................... Anyone else getting an involuntary shudder when they hear.....'Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum'? My Monkey wants to go the a country park........... .............. i normally love the country park..................... but am now fed up with freezing bits off at country park. Rain, people, we need rain............... then i might have a good excuse not to go! Someone, please tell me they'll be back at school soon...................
  2. Why am i not surprised.............

    Away

Good??? What's that then?......... Have fun chickadee <'>
  4. Compassion........ Understanding...... My vote would be for one person - just ONE person, who helps & fights for the family / individual with all the docs, ss, respite, schooling, etc....... That person has you / your childs best interests at heart - and no other agenda........ Having a child with an ASD is hard - having to fight for every single little teeny tiny thing is why i had a break down.........
  5. Gawd hun, that made me laugh! I can picture you doing that. I can touch me toes - and the floor - and can put my foot over my head - AND can sit with legs crossed the wrong way round, as in feet on knees (have no idea what you call that! - other than bendy!). So ner, ner, neeeeee, ner, ner

    flys

Oh, and those little zappers, that look like a tennis racket - great fun if you can catch 'em! I've found bluebottles make the best fizzzzzzzzzzz -
  8. Yup - one day, and i'm OK......... Next day, in tears, day after............. raving loony (whot u mean i am already???!!!! ) I've been on mine for nearly two years now - every so often i deliberately stop them (reducing them bit by bit with GP support), just to see if they're still needed ( i hate taking them... ). There still needed . Chin up chick - just keep plodding along till you get the script. Then have a couple of days to chill (is that possible in our houses??). <'> ><

    flys

It's not the flys that are bugging me - it's the $%&*%$" wasps! They're so dopey atm, poor little kiddlewinks (not mine) was stung today whilst we were out....... ouch, ouchie. I. Am. Terrified. Of. Wasps. I try to be all cool and calm - then one comes remotely near me - and I'm dancing about shouting 'get it orffffff meeeeeeeeee'.
  10. Oo-heck, hadn't thought of that one (and am pleased I've already had dinner!). Will go google!
  11. SG <'> What a bloomin' awful day . Why, WHY wont people realise we cannot do loud, noisy, chaotic environments without it taking it's toll on us. I had a similar situation this morning, and have been needing to remind myself to breath ever since. Doubt you have the umph today - but do complain, to whoever was supposed to be supporting you. <'>
  12. Hmmmmmmmmmmm see what you mean, but lil man is a fruit and veg lover. He drinks plenty (i know, coz i have to keep reminding him!). Very little junky type food, brown bread/pasta/etc... and doesn't seem 'bunged up' - (don't read on if your eating.....) just a bit 'sticky' / 'mucus'y'. I haven't noticed a dramatic change when eating certain foods, have been keeping a food diary for a week or so, just to see what is going in him iyswim... It's why i was beginning the think candida/yeastly/bacteria type problem.... TN - i make my own yoghurt (*smug!*), well...... when i say make, i mean buy packet from health food shops n bung it in yoghurt maker thingy! It's the only was i could find that was free from rubbish, and it's loaded with those friendly bacteria thingies.
  13. OK, OK - but only if I'm allowed to play with Mr Depp........... *daydreams*
  14. The ironing board has clearly cursed you - either that or you're crackered, and could do with a break.. <'>
  15. Giving this a bounce......... Anyone?
  16. They should have public liability insurance and such like, all organisations are required to do so - you should not be made to pay for it. Offering to pay, or giving a 'donation' towards the cost is one thing, for them to be calling you is quite another. If it becomes a sticking issue - you can speak to your local support group / area inco / SS / etc, about finding the money from a charitable organisation. I would hate for this to put of the carer - but in the same way, i would hate this to put off families who are already struggling financially, and who desperately need the break. HTH
  17. Whilst we're on the subject of 'Officially Serious Threads'. Was wondering last night (as you do.. ) Why is a teaspoon called a TEAspoon?? Shirley t'is discrimination against coffee, hot chocolate, herbal hot thingies, spoons?? And Bads - I am, quite frankly, impressed you managed to find the favourite chair in that state............ I've found the kitchen floor to be the most comfy place for i-must-have-chips-or-I'll-die, midnight and beyond moments. Ohhhhhhhh, had anyone tried making crisps in the frying pan?? Don't - it doesn't work as well as you would hope.
  18. Strangely, he does, a little - he's the bloke on Something Special / Mr Tumbles (Justin). But it's a secret - so don't tell...............
  19. Yay! A daft thread 1 - I've no idea, you are clearly weird.. and/or have 'issues' with your ironing board 2 - Sunnnnnny side up! 3 - I prescribe burning said ironing board, whilst chanting 'be gone with you oh flat one'. And then eat a bucket of boiled eggs - will not help the phobia, but will cause so much tummy pain, will forget heebyjeebies.
  20. Well done hun Now to concentrate on the essay - then relax!
  21. Ooooooooooooooh, page two - so cannot easily click........ T'is a sign i tell you.......... Will refrain from clickage'ing.
