Hello Every1, Was just wondering how long does it actually take for diagnosis? Also what processes do i/we need to go through!! My son was reffered to calms by my gp in May. We met with camhs in July. Camhs person went to my sons nursery last week and now i have an appointment to go back to camhs on the 24th of September! Am not expecting a diagnosis this early but wondered what happens, what to expect ect! Am all new to this. I don't know anyone who has gone through this and all of you are obviously experts! Please help xxxx

God that's awful! Happened to me once. I resisted the urge to reply with a torrant of abuse by saying That's a shame, oh well you were never the love of my life anyway. Hope we can say hello if we ever pass each other. Well he obv hated that cause he was round my house a few days later with his tail dragging. LOL!! If she rude enough to split by text at least you have a while to construct a suitable answer. How heartless tho.

My cousin likes this game also. He is 25. The whole concept of this game is either, 1, freeplay. go around with a gun or whatever and beat ppl up in the street. Steal cars by pulling ppl out, wrecking things and keeping away from the police. 2, Completing tasks or levels in the game that include, murder, theft, prostitution, distruction ect! My son is obsessed with star wars to the exclusion to all others so if J is anything like this it may not be something you want him to get obsessive about for obvious reasons. Another option would be to go into your local game or toys r us and try the demo for yourself.

Hello, Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Natalie (obv ) Mum of Taylor 12, Sam 4 and Eva-Mae who is 1. Sam has recently been going cahms and his doctor thinks he may have some form of autism. I didn't even know about austism really apart from watching rainman. I realise now that there are different forms and things but just wanted to itterate the fact of how clueless i really was on the subject. Since i have been scouring the internet for every bit of information i can (which is how i found this forum) and after reading about the different types of autism i am sure he has aspergers. Obviously am not a doctor but was like reading a play by play on my sons behaviour. God I thought he had adhd! I'm not sure how i'm supposed to feel about it but i actually am a little relieved to know that it's not anything i have done wrong to cause Sams behaviour. My husband on the other hand still has his head stuck in the sand! His doctor came to see Sam at nursery today so am waiting to hear back now. His nursery teacher was speaking to me about Sam maybe not getting the chance to go to my chosen choice of school. Sam was supposed to start school this session but we felt that he should wait another year. I have the full support of Sams nursery school but is talking about different schools just now a bit soon? Also why would Sam not be able to attend my choice of primary? He is a very intelligent little boy! Is great to actually speak to people who actually have been through and are going through this my family don't really understand! Anyway hello anyway, Natalie x
