Hi Tally I cant really commit to much as I got a bit lost, only to say that Iv come across people like this and they usually end up getting their comeuppances. I boyfriend bit, to be worried about her boyfriend talking to someone at work, all I can say is their relationship must be pretty ropey. I for many years worked in an almost all female environment, and would often joke about my lady friends with my wife.

Hi Haven't really got an answer other than physical taking the clothes off her back. My step son, now grown up was like that he would wore the same pare of sock for weeks at a time even in bed, never took them off, harley ever bathed or showed, would never use soap. You could smell him coming at 50 yards. Came to a head when he got sent home from work to get a shower, other staff could not put up with the smell any longer. He now showers every morning and carries a can of deodorant in his pocket. And he no longer lives at home so we don't have his washing to do.

Hi all As I have said before, if they, the school are sort of staff due to sickness etc, then they should bring in bank staff to cover. I don't know if it is the same in other areas but here the school is allocated an amount of money dependant on what hours a statement requires and it is up to the school how they spend that money to provide the support stated.

My secondary school never taught me anything about computers , but then back then they hadn't invented computers as we know them today. I very much see the point of secondary school/education as preparing you, Teaching you (for a better way of putting it)how to learn.The problem is that the schools see it as getting you through a set of hoops. Some of what you learn along the way may be helpful a lot of it you will never use. But that is just the same in the real world. Just think of all the things you learnt when learning to drive and then promptly forgot.(Even more for today's L Drivers) joybed. I can add anything more to what the others have advised. Hi joybed. Just a quick point, If I want to contact the school, I will often send them a email that way you know they get it. I have been known to think of something a 3 in the morning and send of a email for them to get the next day. Just sent one the the SENCO about his DR appointment. I have the email address of the Head, his teacher, the SENCO and the School Office.

I cant really see the NAS getting involved First this is to political. Second if they got involved every time someone on the autistic spectrum got into trouble with the law they would not have much time for anything else. I have seen and heard versus accounts of his condition, so am left not really knowing what if anything is wrong with him. How much of what his mother has said is her trying to find a reason for it all. There is nothing new about vonarable people being used by others for there own ends. The only thing different about this case is that words like terrorist and extremist are being used.

This is a quote from a report about my son:- "has a very engaging way of relating to adults, which may suggest that he has a better understanding of social interaction than is probably the case" Chris.

Others can probably give you better advice than me. Where we were living at the time my boy was diagnosed, you saw a whole host of people first and then got to see the clinical Psychologist last of all.Who made the diagnosis after a 3 hour session with him on his own with 2 assistants, us the other side of one way mirror and videoed, using this, all the reports from everyone else that had seen him, his school and us-parents. After this session, about 3 weeks later we got a 12 page report which gave us his diagnosis. Up to this point no mention was made of ASD but by that point, it did not come as a complete surprise. And I got to use the remote video camera controls. This all took about 12 months or so. But this was very different to how it works in most other places. A statement is for a child who fails( or is likely to fail) to make satisfactory progress under School action plus. You do not need to have diagnosis to get a statement. The school appointment would be the time to talk about statement.

We must remember that we in this county lived with terrorism in the name of christianity for many years, some of use have lost loved one at the hands of the IRA. I do not have any religious belief but am happy for my son to take part in christian services and RE classes at school, his is a C of E school. As he gets older I will leave it up to him what if any religion he follows. I do worry about those who may influence him but not from the point of view stated.

Being severely dyslexic I find all reading hard work and am never really fully able to appreciate the written word. However I do appreciate the classics using audio or video. My son just does not get poetry and prefers factual books.

I always use my name as my username plus, when necessary an add-on, in this case my year of birth. The other thing,whatever it is called, haven't got around to it, don't know if I will.

My boy has been learning times tables, doing OK , had the test and only got 4 right . Asked him about it "Teacher asked them in the wrong order" !

Hi all Sooze2, I didn't mean your case in particular, I would just say that if anyone has any concerns about their school and are not getting satisfactory answers from the school or council education department, to contact OFSTED who have the power to go into a school with no notice and demand to see records and whatever they think is necessary to investigate a complaint. Stardust. You will have to expand a bit, what is the point you are making. Not knowing the situation, what you quote could be a reasonable set of targets. Chris.
