  1. I can't really comment on the behaviour thing because I often 'feel hormonal', can't really explain except I do have gynae probs too and I'm usually 2 weeks on/2 weeks off (though I have had the 3 weeks on thing...very very draining). I had a scan last year when cysts were mentioned...but they were looking for a polyp...which was found and removed but had no effect on my heavy and rather long periods. In fact my latest one was awful and almost unmanageable. I did get my gp to do a blood test to check my hormone levels about a year and a half ago as I'd been experiencing fatigue above that which I usually have and had put on an awful lot of weight...I also began to feel very unwell, totally exhausted and could barely function. The result was barely recordable levels of testosterone in my body so I'm now on a form of hormone replacement patch which I'm pleased to say has given me my life back. I had actually suspected I might be starting an early menopause (I'm 37) so I was a little surprised at the result. I don't experience much pain luckily, but I'm very emotional for a lot of the time. I'm probably going to have to consider another form of hormone treatment for the heavy periods which I'm reluctant to do because the other hormones usually interfere with my IBD. Guess it'll be trial and error. Hope you get things sorted soon. <'>

  5. Dd1 was to have done a day release course at college on an animal related course. After her first day it was obvious that she cannot access this without full 1 to 1 support. It is just too big a step for her at this stage. At her last annual review I didn't imagine her wanting to go to college or foresee this increase in provision being needed. She has 15 hours on her statement currently. I feel it would be a shame to let this opportunity go by without first trying to find out exactly what I can do to get her the support she needs. Can anyone tell me what I could try?
  6. Dd1 had first day release at college today, suffice it to say it did not go well. She never wants to go there again I think school have been a little dishonest with regard to her placement...not sure where to go from here. I know she can't manage or access college without full time support. I think it's looking like a slight change back to her original options choices and for her to stay in school. Will have to find out what support (if any) is available when she's 16. First day back at school went better than expected though But it's early days!
