Hi , need to see school records where do I start ,anyone any general advice or standard letters???? Please feel free to tell me stories of underhandenest or anything, so I know what to expect.Under the Data Protection act 1998 I know I am entitled to these but it would be nice to know others experiences Still fighting Shars xoxoxox

My son went out with a balacalva on and a machine gun he was dressed as a terrorist.He had a rucksack on and asked people not to look inside as he was a suicide bomber.Personally I was more worried about him being knocked down. Anyway he got back alive at 8.30pm.Very happy ,,,yes he was completely overloaded ..yes he has had serious meltdowns from the overloads ....welcome to his chidhood and he does deserve one,,,, depite his neurotic mum...xoxoxoshars Happy Halloween

At present I have 5 hours home tuition for my son .This was started this week .According to the home tuition co ordinatator this is all he gets we are currently in the process of a stat assessment. If he was excluded he would be intitled to 25 hours a week. Thankfully he didnt kick a teacher...but if he had done and was excluded hed be better of....What does that say .......keep fighting xoxoxosharss

Oh Mumble you have lightened my evening with this one. In my world I never mind, I really dont, not at all ,I just be. But people say "do you mind" my answer is no never not at all Im just being and thats OK. But in the mad world, you have to comply, there are three" Do you minds." You need to read faces for this one .You need to understand happy polite,kind or cross angry ,not nice face .I can do this now but Im nearly 4o. When you can do this ,then you will see you have 3 types of "do you mind." 1.... with a kind face, says "do you mind" which means is that ok with you.I generally say ok as long as it doesnt involve something I feel uncomfortable with. 2......With a kind off non discript, pleading such as ,taking a chair when they say "do you mind" they will probably indicate by pointing to the chair. The big one for me is when someone says "do you mind" with a cross face.Cross faces I dont get,and generally if I have said something that offends or I hold strongly as a personal belief then I do mind very much. Hope this helps,but mumble if your happy and non offensive dont worry, In saying that our core beliefs for what is right make us offensive,,,, are not we the best!!!!xoxo shars

My son had one conners and the parental view conflicted with the school,,,, We seen the ADHD, the school didnt,,,,As a result of these discreptancies we were referred to the phsychaitric services ..Conners reports and results come with a price tag.ADHD cost money ,,,does the price of support and provision rely on such cheap and loose diagnostic tools..Always be cautious and keep everything in writting....Conners results suggest weather your child has ADHD or not ....But you would be the best judge of that,,,, not a price tag,,,,their hard to fill out and unrelyable,,, dont be scared of them,,, just be aware they are a loose and cheap diagnostic tool ...xoxoxoxolove Shars

Ive never heard of the ASD panel,,but I have heard of the Panel..each borough has a panel of special education needs they meet and decide on home tuition,, stat assessments etc ,,,all power to be apparently,,,,but I have never heard of an ASD panel ,,, not in my borough,, is it in yours ???? are they making this panel up .. Ive never met my SEN panel ,,,please let me know if you meet your ASD panel ...God knows what they are ,,,always be cautious and never trusting... keep all correspondance with said panel in writing... always watch your back.... love Shars xoxoxoxoxo

Thanks for your replys ,,glad to hear you had the same experience.Dont mean that in a bad way, but thankfully im not alone,yes Pearl it was a kick in the teeth,,,huge kick in the teeth,,,,I now have a very strained relationship with my brother which I could really really do with out at the moment,,,Has any body heard of cassandra sydrome....I really didnt need this,, It angers me that our kids need for some understanding,,,just a little ,,,small amount,, but its the same old brick wall.......XOXOXO
