barefoot wend Report post Posted February 20, 2008 Mandy I was called a while back and called them to explain that I was a carer. I think they sent me a form to fill out which I returned with an explanation. It was very easy and they did not ask for any proof - I sent copies of my son's DLA and my CA letter anyway. I'm pretty sure there was a box to tick saying that you are unable to attend jury service within the next couple of years. Barefoot
noogsy Report post Posted February 20, 2008 i was called a couple of years ago and i went in to the office which isn't far from my home and explained i had a disabled child.who was in the habit of being sent home from school or sometimes not going to school.i also told them i was so inattentive myself because i had so much going on in my head i didn't think i was suitable and basically i told the truth..and they were lovely and told me not to worry and i didn't have to do it.it happens all the time that people who are carers are called and cant do it.hope i have helped love noogsyx
