carrieq Report post Posted March 16, 2008 I am so proud of ds. He joined our local swimming club recently and won 2 golds and 2 silvers in the club championships yesterday. He did so much better than I ever expected and it is wonderful to be able to be proud as punch with him achieving something. He coped well with all of the waiting around which was one of my biggest concerns and then enjoyed running round and round at the party in the evening. My oldest dd did great as well she won 4 golds and a silver and came top girl in her age range so we have a very proud house here today!! Bard Report post Posted March 16, 2008 He coped well with all of the waiting around which was one of my biggest concerns Well done that boy, B gave up judo once he got to the point of having to fight in competitions to get his orange belt. The fights could be three seconds long, but the waiting could be three hours! A great achievement across the board for your son
carrieq Report post Posted March 17, 2008 Thank you all for replying, I never thought he would have been able to take part and a year ago he would never have managed. It is so wonderful to see him succeed!! He has gone to school today wearing his medals and I know he will be made a fuss of which is just what he needs!!
